To celebrate this year’s “Kingdoms of Africa” concept, attendees have been encouraged to have on official African attire symbolizing different African cultures. Emcee and comic Young Prince hosted the celebration, which highlighted performances by musicians Rema and Prince Lucas, the UMass Afrodites dance team, the Afro Caribbean Dance Team, the Comedy Dr and spoken-word poet Amanda Shea. A vogue present by Omo Studios and new music by DJ Wonka contributed to the energy of the night. African delicacies was catered by Anokye Krom restaurant.
