The Countrywide Council of the Society of Physics Learners (SPS) has named the University of North Georgia’s (UNG) SPS chapter a 2021 Distinguished Chapter.

&#13

SPS is a specialist affiliation built for students and their advisers. Membership, by means of collegiate chapters, is open to any individual fascinated in physics, not just people majoring in physics.

&#13

UNG’s bachelor’s degree in physics prepares students for graduate scientific studies in physics and linked fields, employment in several technological positions, and secondary physics education.

&#13

Martine Maggi, a senior from Marietta, Georgia, pursuing levels in physics and arithmetic, mentioned the UNG SPS chapter aims to get students out of their ease and comfort zone to help them increase.

&#13

“With physics majors, it is not astonishing that a lot of them are introverted,” Maggi said. “Science is not a solitary working experience. It is a collaborative knowledge. We are placing pupils up for accomplishment in their upcoming careers when they have to operate in teams.”

&#13

She sees the award as a testimony to the efforts of the group’s leadership group in bouncing back again from COVID-19.

&#13

“I’m incredibly very pleased of what we have performed with the club. Coming back from COVID, the community experienced fizzled,” Maggi reported. “It was an uphill climb to rebuild it.”
