Bedford's medley relay of (left to right) Alexa Fuleky, Gabby Pisanti, Hannah Smith, and Ava Bell celebrating after the Mules won the SMISL Relays Saturday.

ADRIAN – Carolin Teklote is a German exchange university student at Bedford.

She had in no way tried swimming or diving just before, but resolved to arrive out for the staff this drop to get to know some of her new classmates much better.

Without her, the Mules may not have received the Southeast Michigan Impartial Swimming League Relay Satisfy on Saturday.

Teklote and 2020 state qualifier Libby Boiselle took first in the diving relay.

That was very important as Bedford scored 552 factors to edge Pontiac Notre Dame by just 6 factors.

“Diving made a variance,” Bedford mentor Holly Scheffer said. “They definitely performed their job.”

Scheffer realized Boiselle would conduct very well, but didn’t know what to expect from Teklote.
