Foreign exchange students in Savannah help raise money for Ukraine

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A person student in Savannah has a strong tie to the conflict in Ukraine and is operating to support fundraise for individuals impacted by the war.

Ava Piotrowska is a international trade scholar from Poland. Again in her dwelling country, her loved ones has been associated in refugee outreach.

Piotrowska says Ukrainian refugees are residing in her bed room and a great deal of her garments, at household, has been donated to them.

“My moms and dads are web hosting a girl with a year and a half previous little one. She will be being there till the middle of May perhaps. I don’t know, I just resolved this is something I want to do, help individuals from Ukraine,” explained Piotrowska.

Piotrowska suggests she and an additional Polish exchange college student also organized an “out of uniform” working day at Savannah Arts Academy. Students could dress down in trade for a donation. The work, she says, elevated nearly $4,000.
